Heidi Lanino

Introducing Heidi

Heidi Lanino is an American artist born in New York and her work is influenced by figurative abstraction and the transformative nature of movement. Her mediums are drawing, painting, and sculpture. She received her BFA from Pratt Institute and lives in Warwick NY.

What we love about Heidi

A consummate artist, Heidi loves her craft – the transparency of drawing, the layering, the marks left behind, the possibilities and depths of a piece. Her new body of work focuses on shapes and forms of the feminine as seen from the perspective of memory rather than reality. She allows the drawing or painting to become what it was meant to be. Clustered in rich colors, luscious paint, rhythmic lines and gestural marks, these elements become the subject matter itself, revealing the kinesthetic beauty and strength of the human form. See for yourself in pieces like “Dance #5” or “Pearl Fishers #2”, they may remind you of a de Kooning.
