My goal is to capture artistic photographs with traces of visual graphics. I use photography to depict painting techniques such as overlapping, painting over and working with graphic elements. Since 2011, I am working with the topic of “transparency”. I explore a microcosm that is created by the layering of transparent materials. The object as a whole has lost its importance. The finished images represent the completion of the artistic process.
What we love about Sabine
Her two-dimensional works in print are the culmination of handmade sculptures formed from plastic, wire and glass and set to photography in her studio. Experimenting with light, layers and translucency, she creates original prints that have the depth and vibrancy of paintings. Even without titles, the hidden meaning in Sabine’s photographic and cyanotype prints is transparent.
