My works are inspired by films, namely by scenes from the film that attracted me. Drawn out from the flow of the film, these scenes are transmuted onto oil paintings and filled with affectivity which is the result of several weeks of painting. In those films are subtly accumulated motives of alienation and suffering, lack of love, fear, emptiness, loneliness, as a reflection of this postmodern era in which we live. I became interested in how through painting, I could express these things. Changing the media, I give them a new dimension of the time while choosing traditional techniques, but a contemporary theme, as a kind of resistance. Thus, the motive and technique in my work are simultaneously catching up and collide. The foundation for this painting was a scene from Aki Kaurismakis film Le Havre.
